The Estate is almost entirely within the Cairngorm National Park (CNP) and extending to over 23,000 acres it is one of the largest and most beautiful estates in Aberdeenshire and the Highlands.
Including the high ground of Dinnet Moor and peak of Morven at 2,862 ft, the Estate can be seen from here to spread out before you to the East and encompasses the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve centred around Loch Kinord, the iconic River Dee and extensive native woodland interspersed with the rural hamlets and productive farmland centred around the village of Dinnet.
The Estate is a haven for common, scarce and rare species alike including, Golden Eye, Northern Damselfly, Kentish Glory Moth, Red Kite, other iconic birds of prey and Atlantic Salmon to name only a few.
Dinnet & Kinord is a busy commercial Estate including Dinnet Farms own highly regarded herd of beef cattle and key tenanted farms, salmon and sea trout fishing alongside crucial river conservation on the River Dee, self-catering holiday cottages @royaldeesideholidaycottages.co.uk, commercial and native forestry and key relationships with the community and stakeholders such as Nature Scot and the Cairngorm National Park Authority.
